Theodor Bilharz Research Institute Organizes Specialized Workshop in Urological Surgery in Collaboration with the Egyptian Urological Association

On Sunday, April 6, 2025, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute organized an advanced and specialized workshop in urological surgery, in collaboration with the Egyptian Urological Association. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Hassan Abou El-Einen, President of the Association, and Prof. Sherif Mourad, the Association’s Secretary General. It was supervised by Prof. Mohamed Hussein Badawy, Head of the Urology Department at the Institute.

Theodor Bilharz Research Institute Receives Delegation from the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University

As part of enhancing research and training cooperation between Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) and academic and research institutions, TBRI received a delegation from the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University. This visit comes as part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed between the two parties last January. The protocol was signed by Prof. Mohamed Shemis, Director of TBRI and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Prof. Osama Hegazy, Dean of the National Liver Institute and Chairman of its Hospitals' Board of Directors.

Opening of a biological treatment clinic at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute for the first time at the level of research centers in Egypt

Concerning the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to upgrade the level of health care, and the government keenness to provide the latest treatment methods within hospitals, a biological treatment clinic opened for patients with immune intestinal inflammation at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, for the first time at the level of research centers in Egypt.
