The Hepatic Viruses Unit began operations in 2020 and continued until 2024 under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Population. During this time, the unit diagnosed and treated over 150 individuals infected with the Hepatitis C virus. It also provided follow-up care and testing as part of the Presidential Initiative to eliminate Hepatitis C.
Mission
To provide treatment and follow-up care for patients with Hepatitis C as part of the Presidential Initiative to eliminate the virus.
Vision
To eliminate Hepatitis C through the Presidential Initiative and contribute to eradicating the virus radically.
