The General Surgery Department at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) has successfully organized the first-of-its-kind Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernioplasty Hands-On Bootcamp in Egypt and the Middle East, held as part of the Theodor Surgical Bootcamp from January 18 to 20 and January 27, 2026.

In line with the Institute’s commitment to supporting applied scientific research, promoting the concepts of multidisciplinary medical collaboration, and linking research outcomes with clinical practice to contribute to the development of the healthcare system and improve the quality of medical services, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) is honored to announce the convening of its Annual Conference 2026 under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Institute and Chairman of the Board, titled: "Collaborative Medical Practice: From Bench to Bedside"

As part of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute's leading role in supporting the scientific research system, enhancing institutional performance, and promoting alignment with national and international sustainable development goals, the Institute organized a specialized workshop on the current status of international rankings and program and performance budgeting indicators. The workshop was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and Chairman of the Board, and with the participation of a select group of experts and specialists in research evaluation and strategic management.
