In a scene that reflected significant scientific weight and a well-established research standing, the opening ceremony of TBRI  2026 Annual Conference was launched. The event witnessed the presence of high-level distinguished guests, including leading scientists and specialists, along with wide participation from an elite group of researchers and physicians from Egypt and abroad. The conference embodied the institute’s vision of serving as an integrated scientific platform that combines academic expertise with practical application, while opening new horizons for constructive scientific dialogue. Theodor Bilharz Research Institute witnessed the launch of its Annual Conference 2026, held under the patronage of Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and chaired by Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Institute and Chairman of its Board. The conference was held under the theme: “Collaborative Medical Practice: From Bench to Bedside,” emphasizing the importance of translating scientific research outcomes into clinical applications that contribute to developing healthcare systems and improving the quality of medical services.

In a warm Ramadan atmosphere filled with friendliness and fellowship, and in affirmation of the values of belonging and teamwork, the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute organized a collective Ramadan Iftar banquet for its staff in the institute’s main hall. The event was attended by the institute’s leadership, members of the research staff, and employees from various sectors, in an evening characterized by harmony and a family-like spirit that reflects the strong bonds among all members of the institution.

Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director and Chairman of the Board of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, and in collaboration with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, a new scientific journal has been launched by the Institute under the title: "Journal of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute for Medical Sciences" Professor Abdel Aziz announced that the journal is international, peer-reviewed, and multidisciplinary. It has been established to serve as a leading research platform for publishing the latest studies in applied medical sciences and clinical research. The journal aims to publish original research articles, case studies, and systematic reviews covering diverse topics in biomedical sciences, with special emphasis on innovative studies addressing basic medical sciences, disease mechanisms, modern diagnostic approaches, and advanced therapeutic strategies.
