1- Dr. Hani Ezzat (Resident Doctor at Hepatogastroenterology, TBRI) had a training in the hepatology department at the Beaujon Hospital (January-February 2016) - under the direction of Prof. Durand.

 

2-Dr. Iris Nessim (Professor of Clinical Chemistry, TBRI) had training in Clinical Biochemistry under the direction of Prof. Katell Peoc'h- October 2016.

 

3-Dr. Ahmed Montasser (Master at the service of Anapat TBRI) had Three training courses at the service of Pathology Dpt  under the direction of Prof. Valerie Paradis (6-27 July

2015- 16-30 November 2017 and a 9 months training 2018-2019)

 

4-Dr. Nevine Fam  had training in Microbiology under the direction of Prof. Nicolas Chanoine - March 2015.

This Annual conferences have become very famous in the field of Hepatogastroenterology in Egypt and are expected by all hepatogastroenterologists.

The second conference: Bilharz – Beaujon 2008 with the participation of Prof. Ruszniweski, Prof. Dominique Valla,  Prof .Valerie Vilgrain  and  Prof. Chanoine.

 

The Third conference: Bilharz – Beaujon 2009 with the participation of Prof. Ruszniweski, Prof. Patrick Marcellin  and Prof. Jean Mantz.

 The eighth Beaujon Bilharz Conference 2016 with the participation of Prof. François Durand, Prof. Valérie Paradis and Dr. Safi Dokmak.

 

The Ninth Beaujon Bilharz 2017 Conference with the participation of Prof. Philippe

Ruszniewski, Dr. Richard Moreau, Prof. Rautou, Prof. Pierre Bedossa and Prof Xavier Treton.

 

The Tenth Beaujon Bilharz 2018 Conference with the participation of Prof. Philippe Ruszniewski, Prof. Patrick Marcellin, Prof. Valerie Paradis, Dr Laurent Palazzo . The conference

was associated for the first time with a workshop in Endosonography  performed in TBRI and received 6  continuous medical education points (CME points) from the European Accreditation council for CME credits. The conference was inaugurated by his excellency Monsieur Romatet the French Ambassador in Egypt.

 

The Eleventh Beaujon Bilharz 2019 Conference  was held with the participation  of Prof. Philippe Ruszniewski, Prof. Patrick Marcellin ,  Prof. Philippe Levy, Prof. Valerie Paradis and Prof. Soubane.

 

The twelfth Conference on hepatogastrontrology diseases 2023: it was organized by TBRI, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Beaujon Hospital, and Paris Cite University, with the attendance of The French Ambassador to Egypt, his Excellency Mr. Eric Chevallier.    

 

 

Installation of new units and new techniques at the Bilharz Institute thanks to the cooperation Beaujon - Bilharz

 

Installation of the Fibroscan unit at TBRI:

 

 In collaboration with Dr. Laurent Castera of the Hepatology Department of the Beaujon Hospital, TBRI has chosen and purchased the Fibroscan device used for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis, the work has already started in November 2016 with the implementation to carry out research projects with the Hepatology Department of the Beaujon Hospital.

 

A Master thesis was carried out  on the ability of Fibroscan to detect fibrosis in patient treated for HCV. It was supervised by Prof. Ahmed El Ray and Prof. Laurent Castera.

 

 The subject of Pancreas is approached in a constant manner by Prof.Philippe Ruszniewski at the Beaujon - Bilharz conferences. TBRI is now a reference center in Egypt for the diagnosis of Pancreas Diseases by Endosonography, the Institute has bought a second Echoendoscopy device in 2017, The first workshop in Endosonography was performed in May 2018 in the 10th Annual Scientific meeting Bilharz Beaujon.

 

In 2023, TBRI renewed the agreement with Beaujon hospital for the fourth time, with the inclusion of Cairo University and Paris Cité University.
