As part of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute's strategy to strengthen scientific and medical partnerships with specialized institutions within Egyptian universities and expand cooperation to serve the development of health and research services, a high-level delegation from the institute visited the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University to congratulate it on receiving full accreditation from the General Authority for Accreditation and Healthcare Regulation (GAHAR). GAHAR recognizes the institute as a distinguished national model in implementing quality and health governance systems.

In a pioneering scientific achievement—the first of its kind in the Arab Republic of Egypt—and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director and Chairman of the Board of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), the Center of Excellence for the Biobank at the Immunology Department of TBRI has obtained the first official accreditation for a biobank in Egypt from the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC).

As part of the continuous development strategy adopted by Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) to enhance the quality of specialized medical services, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Institute and Chairman of the Board, the Institute has witnessed a new support initiative for the Hepatogastroentrology Endoscopy Unit from Fujifilm. This support included supplying the unit with the latest Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) system, in addition to the installation of two state-of-the-art endoscope reprocessing and sterilization systems manufactured by the company, which have been recently delivered and fully installed within the unit.
