TBRI awards top nursing students, with special mention for its Technical Nursing Institute
In a celebratory atmosphere filled with pride and appreciation, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute hosted the honoring ceremony for top students who won the nursing schools and institutes competition organized by the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza. The event was attended by senior officials from the health and education sectors of the Ministry of Health and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza.
In his opening speech, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Director of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, expressed his deep appreciation for the vital role of nursing in supporting the national healthcare system. He urged the honored students to commit to the values of dedication and compassion in their treatment of patients, emphasizing that healthcare begins with a conscious nursing system characterized by a sense of responsibility and humanity.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Amal Roshdy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Giza, Prof. Asmaa Hammam, Director of Training at the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza, Prof. Abdelrahman Shawky, former Director of Training at the Directorate, Prof. Amira Mourad and Prof. Aida Maawad, supervisors from the General Administration of Technical Health Institutes at the Ministry. Dr. Eman Mostafa and Dr. Ghada Nabhan, supervisors at the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza. They were received by Prof. Omar Sabry, Secretary-General of the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute.
The ceremony included honoring students who won top positions from various schools and institutes. The female students of the Technical Nursing Institute at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute were especially recognized for achieving second place in the competition organized by the Directorate, amid strong competition among institutes and schools under the directorate. Attendees praised the outstanding performance of the students, which reflects the quality of training and care they receive at the institute.
The event featured artistic performances and patriotic songs that added joy to the atmosphere. Directors of nursing schools and institutes under the directorate were also honored, including Mrs. Hasnaa Gabr, Director of the Technical Nursing Institute at Theodor Bilharz, for her prominent role in supporting the students and achieving this accomplishment.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Asmaa Hammam, Director of Training at the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza, thanked the institute's administration for hosting the event, expressing her pride in this collaboration to enhance the quality of education and elevate the level of the nursing profession in Egypt.
