Cooperation Agreement with Beaujon Hospital, Paris Cite University, and Cairo University

Aim of the Agreement:

 

The purpose of this Agreement is to set out the elements for a cooperation between the Partners in the field of theoretical and practical education, exchange of teachers and health personnel, and research in the field of hepato-gastroenterology. Other specialities may be included according to the needs identified.

 

Fields of cooperation:

 

Complying with current laws and regulations in each of the institutions and their respective countries, the Partners agree to cooperate in the following areas:

·      Theoretical teaching in the field of hepato- gastroenterology

    Teachers and Medical Staff

Teachers from Université Paris Cité Medical School as well as expert doctors appointed by the Beaujon Hospital will teach general and specialised hepato-gastroenterology techniques to junior staff from the faculty of Medicine Cairo University and Theodor Bilharz Research institute.

 

Subjects of common interest will be decided between the Partners on a forward planning basis. They will include training of trainers.

·      Assistance in the protocolisation of liver transplants

The Beaujon Hospital, through the intermediary of experts that it will designate within the relevant departments, will provide its technical expertise to the Faculty of Medicine - Cairo university and to Theodor Bilharz Research Institute with a view to drafting the protocols transplantation necessary for the programme that it wishes to implement.

 

·      Clinical rotations for students

The parties agree to implement a student exchange program for clinical rotations. Students must meet the French Proficiency standard. The standard is based on the DELF (French-language studies diploma) score: level B2 (Common European Framework for Languages References).

If necessary, the partners may formulate detailed additional agreements for common aspects of cooperation, each of which will be subjected to the regulating procedures and the approvals of the competent authorities.
