This Memorandum of Understanding aims to establish cooperation between the National Liver Institute – Menoufia University and Theodor Bilharz Research Institute in creating a new generation of researchers in medical and health fields, who pursue scientific advancement without compromising environmental elements. Theodor Bilharz Research Institute is considered the largest of its kind in Egypt and the region in the field of scientific research.

Cooperation Protocol with the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University – Girls Branch

The two parties agreed on the following possibilities: • Training of female students in the specified fields according to the institute’s specializations in all departments, with the following categories: • Female students of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University – Girls Branch • Graduates of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University – Girls Branch • Faculty members and their assistants in the departments of the Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University – Girls Branch Each party shall appoint a general supervisor for the training process at the beginning of the training period, one from each side.

Developing joint training programs for graduate and postgraduate students to take advantage of the common and complementary areas in each institution where trainees will gain interdisciplinary perspectives. - Initiating collaborative research and graduation projects to enhance the shared skills of faculty and students at both institutions. -Enhancing research capabilities by sharing facilities, equipment and core expertise that will create additional funding opportunities for joint research projects. - Cooperating in launching joint training courses and workshops. - Making equipment available that is not available at Theodor Bilharz Institute, to be used through joint research or as services provided by Galala University to the institute or the institute to the university.

This protocol is a basis for permanent cooperation between Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and El Salam Oncology Center as follows: • First: Theodor Belharz Research Institute diagnoses cases of tumors of the digestive system, liver, kidneys and urinary tract and performs the necessary surgeries for these patients, and in the event of the need for preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy or postoperative complementary treatment, whether adjuvant chemotherapy or radiation with modern devices, the center is contacted to continue the required medical service.
