Structure of the Medical Records and Statistics Unit

The medical records unit contains 3 offices and 3 employees.


Services


The Medical Records Unit plays a fundamental role in planning, operating, and following up the medical statistics system in the hospital.

The Medical Records Unit is the reference for all inquiries and questions related to medical statistics in the hospital, whether these questions are from outside or inside the hospital.

1- Receiving statistical reports from departments, and continuous follow-up with them to ensure that these reports are sent on time.

2- Coordinating, collecting, and tabulating all statistical reports in the hospital.

3- Analyzing the medical records of patients who have been discharged from the hospital and extracting the bed occupancy rate and length of stay for the patient.

4- Submitting statistical reports after analyzing them to the hospital administration.

5- Preparing statistical reports that the hospital administration may request for special purposes.

6- Counting the number of patients visiting outpatient clinics and reception.

7- Counting the number of patients in the free and economic inpatient department

8- Counting the number of patients in intensive care, digestive system and liver care, and hepatic coma care

9- Counting the number of surgical operations related to general surgery operations and urinary tract operations and classifying the level of the operation.

10- Counting the number of dialysis sessions.

11- Counting the number of gastrointestinal endoscopies.

12- Counting the number of deaths.

13- Counting the number of laboratory tests and classifying them.

14- Counting the number of x-rays and classifying them.

15- Following up on the daily census of internal departments and following up on admissions and discharges, patient length of stay, and bed occupancy rate.

16- Preparing quarterly and semi-annual statistical reports.

17- Preparing an annual statistical report on the hospital and laboratory activity.

18- Preparing statistical reports for the budget.

19- Preparing statistical reports for research doctors.

20- Training students of the Technical Health Institute.

21- Following up on hospital beds.
