Biography

Dr. Rasha E Ali is working as an Associate professor at Medical Malacology Department, Environmental Research and Medical Malacology Division, Theodor Bilharz research Institute (TBRI), Egypt. Her research focus on study the epidemiology of the host-parasite relationship, mainly those concerning the schistsomas, biology, physiology and immune system of invertebrates and its influence on the host-parasite relationship and compatibility. She is also interested in the neurobiology of snail intermediate hosts of schistosomiasis as model organisms for pollution in environment. Recently she is concerned with the pharmaceutical and medical importance of bioactive compounds extracted from both marine and fresh water Mollusca and using it for control the schistosomiasis. She also has good experience in application of the research output under simulated field conditions. Dr. Rasha E Ali participated and attended in many Egyptian conferences and scientific meetings. She lectured at many training
