Biography
She served as the principal investigator at the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, where she isolated and characterized bacteriophages against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains as part of a research project funded by the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority to support young researchers. The results were published in an international journal indexed by Scopus. She continued her work in combating multidrug-resistant bacteria and phage therapy through a second project funded by the same authority, in collaboration with the National Research Centre since March 2024, to produce therapeutic proteins. She also participated in funded projects to produce therapeutic proteins such as human growth hormone and in molecular diagnostics research for mutations linked to gastric cancer. She is a member of the Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics, with expertise in mass spectrometry, DNA extraction, gene isolation, molecular cloning, viral diagnostics, tissue
