Biography
Heba Abdel Hady: Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI). Graduate from Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University (Girls Branch) (B.Sc.). Completed post graduate studies in Biological Application of Natural Products (M.Sc.; Ph.D.) (I fulfilled Master degree in Invertebrates. While, Doctorate degree in Physiology). Research work has been carried on isolation and purification of the different classes of natural products which isolated from medicinal plants. Biological evaluation of the extracts, fractions and the isolated compounds as anti-cancer, antimicrobial, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, nephroprotective ……….. ect. In details, her research interests with bioactive effect of the natural products as well as treatment and preventive of diagnostic diseases. Also, evaluation the toxic effect of any extracts or bioactive compounds in-vivo on all physiological parameters. She has been served as member in editorial board and reviewer board.
Research Fields
-preparing the plant for extraction and fractionation using different solvents according to the polarity of solvents, Chromatographic paper, the UV light spectrum, HPLC and column Chromatographic. - Molluscicides and their effect on Biomphalaria alexandrina snails, Schistisoma mansoni and its free larval stages. Also, on albino mice and all serological tests in serum on spectroscopy photometer. - Extraction of natural products and its Biological activities against human diseases. - Antioxidant bio-assays using different methods. - Hepatoprotective agents and liver diseases as induction of fatty liver disease and treatment with natural products. -Nephroprotective agents as induction of kidney failure and treatment with natural products.
