Biography
Prof. Saad received her BSc degree in Chemistry & Zoology from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 1981, and her MSc degree in Zoology from the Faculty of Science, Menoufia University in 1991, before gaining her PhD in Zoology from the Girls College for Arts, Science and Education, Ain Shams University in 2008. In 2014, Prof. Saad was promoted to associate professorship in Chemistry of Plants & Natural Products. Her work covers natural products chemistry including isolation of bioactive secondary metabolites from medicinal plants, and marine organisms. She published more than 37 papers most of them are in international journals. She has supervised 5 master’s and doctoral theses.
