
Biography
Dr. Nahed is an Emeritus professor of Environmental Biology, Aquatic Ecosystem and Environmental health. Formerly, Dean of Environmental Research and Medical Malacology Division. Currently, she is a technical supervision of the scientific program of climate change in Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, Egypt. She is a principle investigator and participate of a number of projects related to the assessment of certain fresh water bodies environment in some Egyptian Governorates. Impacts of water and environmental managements of freshwater ecosystems on parasitic diseases and their vectors, biodiversity and water quality. She has many publication in national and international journals. The current research is focused on the impacts of climate change on the biodiversity of aquatic organisms, the water borne diseases transmission and their intermediated hosts. She is a member in scientific and technical committee of a number of international Scientific Organizations.
