Biography
Prof. Mohamed received her BSc degree in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 1981, and her MSc degree in chemistry from the Institute of Studies and Environmental Research, Ain Shams University in 1992, before gaining her PhD in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Helwan University in 2001. In 2007, Prof. Mohamed was promoted to associate professorship in Chemistry of Plants & Natural Products. Also, she got the professorship in Chemistry of Plants & Natural Products in 2014. Her work covers natural products chemistry including isolation of bioactive secondary metabolites from medicinal plants, and marine organisms. She published more than 36 papers most of them are in international journals. She has supervised 10 master’s and doctoral theses.
