Biography

My main field of experience is to link academic medical knowledge with clinical microbiology services contributing to solve real-world problems and improve medical services presented to patients through education of undergraduate students (participating in organizing, coordinating and presenting in summer and mid-year training programs) or postgraduates (through organizing and/or presenting of specialized workshops and supervision on scientific thesis, in addition to teaching and supervising young staff members). In addition, my research work whether in the form of national or international cooperation (from France, Spain and Germany) seeks to tackle the crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through investigating novel diagnostics and therapeutics, and eventually raising awareness through publishing in peer journals.

Research Fields

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)- beta lactamase resistance in gram negative bacteria- Carbapenem resistant Gram negative bacteria- Quinolones resistance in Gram negative bacteria- Colistin resistant in Enterobacterales, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas spp.
