
Biography
Ahmed Hendawy is lecturer in the department of Pharmacology, with a strong focus on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics research. His interests include assessing the pharmacological activity of anti-schistosomal drugs, treating non- alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and fibrosis, and developing animal models for diabetes, NAFLD and fibrosis. He has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative analysis using HPLC. Ahmed has contributed to an international projects funded by FP7 program and has been a member of six internal projects. He is a member of drug evaluation and discovery unit and also concerned with innovation and patent application at Technology Innovation & Commercialization office. In addition to his academic work, Ahmed has taught at several educational institutions, including the Technical Health Institute in Imbaba, Police Hospital, Nasser Institute. Moreover Ahmed teaches clinical pharmacy at the Faculty of pharmacy - Ahram Canadian University
