Biography
A researcher in chemistry of plants and natural products, with a focus on their pharmacological and biological activities. I have been affiliated with Medicinal Chemistry Department at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute since 2012, holding positions as Science Specialist, Research Assistant, and currently, Researcher. I received my Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ain Shams University in 2021, following the completion of my M.Sc. (2017). I also hold a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Botany from Cairo University (2009), graduating with a "Very Good" rating, and a postgraduate diploma in Biochemical Analyses from Ain Shams University (2011). My research involves phytochemical analysis of medicinal plants, isolation, characterization of secondary metabolites, and evaluation of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and cytotoxic properties I have expertise in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques and have published nine Scopus-indexed articles and contributed to two institutional projects.
