About Me
Ashraf Abadi is Full Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the German University in Cairo. He also served as the Dean of the faculty (2011-2016). In addition, he was a full professor in Pharmacy, Cairo University from 2006-2016. He is the Awardee of the Egyptian State Excellence Award in Medical Sciences, year 2022. He studied Pharmacy in Cairo University and received his Master and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Cairo University and the University of Florida, USA. He worked as a visiting professor in King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, and Universities of Bonn, Erlangen, Jena and Saarland, Ulm and Tubingen, in Germany. He served as Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) foundation fellow as well as Ambassador Scientist of the foundation in Egypt (2010-2015). He has a track record of >100 publications in impact international journals, 12 international patents and patents applications.
