Data Center Unit

It is a newly constructed unit. Prof. Yasser Abdel-Fattah, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Prof. Wafa Kandil .. President of Theodore Bilharz Research Institute and Chairman of the Board of Directors opened the Institute’s Central Information Unit, on 22/9/2019. And in the presence of Prof. Dr. Walid Al-Zawawi, Secretary of the Council of Centers, Institutes and Research Authorities, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and the members of the Institute’s Board of Directors .

This unit was created in line with the state policy in the mechanization and development of information systems, especially in the service of scientific research, as well as in the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Scientific Research (2030) and in preparation for integration into the new comprehensive health insurance system that was started to apply in Egypt recently.

The central information unit will serve the Scientific Management Research System and Hospital Management System (HMS) that the institute is currently operating.

The central information unit also serves the monitoring systems installed in the institute recently.

Also, it is planned to link the institute’s information network with similar checks in the bodies and institutions of the Ministry of Scientific Research, to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between researchers in those agencies.
