Theodor Bilharz Research Institute concludes 2025 annual conference

Theodor Bilharz Research Institute celebrated today the conclusion of the annual conference for the year 2025 under the theme "Innovation in scientific research and medical practices", this ceremony came in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abbas Shemis, director of the Institute and chairman of the conference, and a number of distinguished professors and promising young members of the research staff and their assistants.

Over the course of its days, the conference reviewed the most prominent developments and innovations in the medical and scientific fields, as it included 10 fruitful and important scientific sessions over two days that discussed various topics, including the latest developments in the fields of Health and medical practices, artificial intelligence, nanotechnologies, environmental pollution research and ways to combat it. The sessions witnessed a remarkable interaction between researchers and participants, which added great scientific value to the conference.

As part of the conference activities, a scientific exhibition of research posters presented by members of the research body of young researchers from inside and outside the institute was organized. These posters were judged by a specialized scientific committee, according to the criteria of innovation, scientific quality and practical application. At the end of the ceremony, the three best posters were honored, reflecting the outstanding efforts of the young researchers, highlighting their creativity and creative ideas.

The conference also witnessed the organization of 10 specialized workshops on the sidelines of its activities, which dealt with various topics in the fields of scientific research, medical applications and sustainable development. These workshops provided a valuable opportunity for direct interaction between researchers and experts, as their topics included the latest technologies in disease diagnosis, the use of artificial intelligence in medical practices, and nanotechnology applications. The workshops also focused on enhancing the skills of researchers in the fields of bioinformatics, water treatment, and personalized medicine. The workshops received great attention from the attendees and contributed to the deepening of knowledge and the exchange of experiences between the participants.

As part of the efforts of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute to develop its medical services and enhance the quality of health care, the therapeutic nutrition unit was launched at the Institute on the sidelines of the annual conference 2025. The unit aims to provide integrated nutritional care based on the latest medical protocols to ensure the best therapeutic results for patients.

In his closing speech, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abbas Shemis, director of the Institute and chairman of the conference, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of this important scientific event, praising the efforts exerted by the researchers and the organizing committee. He also stressed that this conference is a leading scientific platform that brought together a group of scientists and researchers in order to exchange experiences and review the latest scientific research. The ceremony included honoring the first researchers in Scientific Publishing for the year 2024, holders of Master's and doctoral degrees, in addition to honoring the vice-chairmen of the conference, members of the scientific committee and the organizing committee, as well as members of the media bureau.

The concert concluded with a special artistic performance that included a solo on the violin, which added a touch of creativity and joy to the atmosphere.

This conference is one of the most important scientific events organized by Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, as it continues its career in supporting innovation and promoting scientific research to serve the community and contribute to the development of the medical sector in Egypt.
